"Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there."
This blog's purpose is to motivate not only myself but also any beginning runner who needs a little push!
What sometimes helps me is to think of how good and how accomplished I will feel when I am done. Also try running a shorter distance like one and a half or two miles, which won't take nearly as long. In my experience, starting with an easy program and working my way up makes it more enjoyable. When I tried to do too much too soon, I found that I started dreading my runs instead of looking forward to them. This time I started with C25K and enjoyed it immensely, even though I knew I could do more.
